We are looking for
Database Designer Cum Administrator for our client in Portland, OR Job Title: Database Designer Cum Administrator Job Location: Portland, OR Job Type: Contract Job Description:- Automated deployment and monitoring of database systems.
- Requirement translation.
- Responsible for technical delivery of assigned projects.
- Technical mentoring of junior DBA's.
- Proactively monitor capacity of environments to predict future storage, memory, or processor shortfalls.
- Provide initial diagnosis/troubleshooting to resolve incidents.
- Independent worker capable of supporting, troubleshooting, and resolving production database issues.
- Database reporting using third party tools and/or Microsoft BI.
- Working with VMWare virtual environment.
- Collaborate with R&D teams to design data structures and processes.
- DotNet Framework and application development with C#, ASP, VB experience in MS SQL Server production support.
- A bachelor's degree in an IT field or related.
- Knowledge of enterprise storage platforms such as EMC, NetApp.
- 10+ years’ experience in MS SQL Server production support.
- Excellent SQL Server database administration skills in production support, project delivery or engineering capacity.
- Highly self-motivated individual who has the ability to work independently in a team environment.
- Knowledge of .Net Framework and application development with C#, ASP, VB.
