Position Overview:
We are looking for experienced Carpenters with a strong background in multi-family construction. The ideal candidate will possess in-depth knowledge of weatherproofing standards, skilled siding installation, dry rot repair, as well as experience in decking and handrail repairs.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform carpentry tasks related to multi-family residential construction, including framing, siding installation, decking, and handrail repairs.
- Ensure all work meets industry quality standards and complies with local building codes.
- Implement effective weatherproofing techniques to enhance durability and performance.
- Diagnose and repair dry rot issues in wood structures, ensuring long-lasting results.
- Document and photograph project progress and repairs to maintain accurate project records and communicate effectively with stakeholders.
- Collaborate with project managers and team members to meet project timelines and requirements.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area, ensuring safety and efficiency.
Qualifications:
- Minimum of three years’ experience in carpentry, specifically within the multi-family construction sector.
- Strong knowledge of weatherproofing standards and best practices.
- Proficient in siding installation and repair, with experience in various siding materials.
- Experience with dry rot diagnosis and repair techniques.
- Skilled in decking and handrail repair work.
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality craftsmanship.
- Excellent communication skills and ability to work as part of a team.
