Oregon, Portland, 97201 Portland USA
Apply Now

Don Tankersley Construction (DTC) has been developing, remodeling, and building homes for nearly 32 years. We have created a team of like-minded individuals, craftspeople, and builders that deliver legacy homes.

DTC has a unique opportunity for the right person. We are looking for someone to join our team to lead our special projects and maintenance program, responsible for projects ranging from $250 to $250,000. The special projects will be multifaceted, including remodels and additions related to homes we have built. The maintenance program will consist of maintaining the homes of previous and current clients, scheduling quarterly visits, proactively figuring out what needs to be done, and executing with urgency and minimal impact. At its heart, this position is setting client expectations and then exceeding them.

As our Special Projects and Maintenance Manager, you will run multiple small projects through the entire life cycle, including estimating, planning, scheduling, organizing, managing the budget and subcontractors, and, in many cases, using your carpentry and general labor skills to execute the work independently. You must also provide excellent customer service, including solid communication and interpersonal skills, and interact positively with our clients, team members, subcontractors, and suppliers. We are looking for a person with a strong work ethic who is self-motivated with excellent follow-through. Work is expected to be completed efficiently with a high standard of excellence.

This is a full-time, "bags on" position. The salary range for the Special Projects Manager is $35-$45 per hour, depending on experience. Don Tankersley & Co offers medical and dental insurance, 401K, paid holidays, and other benefits to full time employees.

Project estimation and budgeting skills. Strong documentation and invoicing skills.

Integrity and honesty; building trust within the DTC team, clients, subcontractors, and suppliers.

Resourceful problem-solver with a positive, can-do attitude and the ability to work independently and efficiently.

Proficient in Microsoft Office & Excel, Smartsheet, and Procore experience preferred.
