Description We are offering a contract to hire employment opportunity for an Accounts Payable Clerk in the construction industry, located in Canonsburg, Pennsylvania. The role involves processing customer credit applications, maintaining customer credit records, and resolving customer credit inquiries. Responsibilities: Compile and maintain accounts payable records Verify the accuracy of invoices and ensure their timely and efficient processing Scan invoices into our system for processing Perform data entry and verification of all invoices, both purchase order related and non-purchase order related Match invoices to purchase orders and/or other supporting documentation, ensuring agreement of information and appropriate supervisory approvals are obtained Enter manual vouchers and check requests Answer accounts payable calls and investigate and respond to vendor inquiries Monitor customer credit accounts and take appropriate action to collect delinquent payments Perform other duties as assigned or required Requirements Possession of a high school diploma or equivalent educational certificate. Proven experience in the role of Accounts Payable Clerk or similar accounting roles. Proficiency in using accounting software and tools. Advanced skills in managing Accounts Payable (AP). Strong knowledge of basic accounting principles and procedures. Excellent data entry skills with high attention to detail. Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines. Strong problem-solving skills and ability to resolve discrepancies. Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Ability to maintain confidentiality of financial information. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel. Willingness to work in a construction/contractor industry environment.
