GENERAL JOB SUMMARY:

To provide leadership to Manufacturing Operations in order to ship product on-time with maximum efficiency while meeting customer quality expectations in support of Senior Managementis strategic vision.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:

Responsible for overseeing the manufacturing operations to produce products in the most cost-effective manner within company quality standards, policy and procedures.

Responsible for planning, directing, and coordinating production, manufacturing engineering and support operations. Manages personnel, policies and procedures to achieve optimum labor efficiency.

Plans capacity demands, hires, trains, and develops personnel and schedules plant operations to ensure customer demands are met.

Provides support to Engineering, QA, Contracts, Program Management, and other departments as needed to resolve questions and program concerns.

This position requires supervisory responsibilities.

Required Experience:KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES REQUIRED:

Ability to maintain sensitive and confidential information as required by government standards.

Ability to adhere to workplace rules.EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:

4-year college/university education, in a technical field or equivalent experience required.

Must have 8+ years related experience, including management.

Must have 5 years related experience in a multi-functional management role in manufacturing environment.

Knowledge of modern manufacturing methods.

Must have experience with various Lean principles and understand all its terms.

Experience in high mix/low volume environment.

Be capable of implementing best practices.

Defense manufacturing background a plus, but not required.WORK ENVIROMENT / PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

Office environment.

Ability to stand and sit for long periods of time.

Ability to perform repetitive motion (keyboarding, 10-key, phones).
