Description:The Mechanical Engineer will be responsible for maintaining current products including putting together drawing packages, designing custom machines and tools, documenting component and system changes, and entering data into the Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) system. The engineer will also be involved in R&D projects including the development of new products in all phases including concept design, engineering calculations, modeling of parts and assemblies, creation of drawings and Bill of Materials, material/component selection, and machine testing.
Designing custom tools or machine options
Testing products to ensure their function and quality
Working with the production team to troubleshoot daily issues
Creating and updating AutoCAD drawings
Documenting component or system changes with Engineering Change Notifications (ENCs)
Updating documents in the Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) system
Works with other engineers to create design concepts for new products
Qualifications:
BS Degree in Mechanical Engineering
2+ years professional experience with AutoCAD Inventor or Solidworks
Additional preferred qualifications:
Experience with hydraulics
FEA experience
Experience generating BOMs
Experience with an ERP system
