Westwood Professional Services, Inc. is seeking a Substation Engineering Intern to join our team. This position will be a part of our Power Division. Westwood has a highly experienced and dynamic team of individuals dedicated to providing high-level professional services to our clients.Duties and ResponsibilitiesPrepares preliminary analysis on a variety of technical tasks
Project research, fieldwork, observation, and preliminary design calculations
Take personal responsibility for the quality of tasks performed
Uses AutoCAD/MicroStation to prepare and check working drawings, details, layouts, and estimates
Performs routine analysis to check the accuracy of data and work productsSalary Range: $15.00-$25.00+ per hour depending on applicable experienceRequired SkillsElectrical Engineering major (Junior, Senior, or Master's student)Required ExperienceDemonstrates willingness to accept new challenges and learn specialized field
Growing knowledge of profession as demonstrated by involvement in related professional organizations and professional development programs
Basic knowledge of the firm's policies, practices and procedures
Basic knowledge of software required for position
Good organizational skills
Able to follow general directions and work with limited independence on basic computationsPreferred ExperienceAutoCAD and MicroStation drafting experience a plus.About Westwood Professional Services, Inc.
