Siemens Medical Solutions USA, Inc. seeks a Head of Workplace Design Americas to support Real Estate North America Team on all questions related to site and workplace strategy within North and South America. Responsible to provide strong, dynamic leadership that mentors, develops and guides a multidisciplinary team. Responsible for all aspects of workplace environments in the region, including concept, renovation, and new construction for national and international projects. Develop the workplace strategy and bring forward industry-leading ideas and insightful data to guide design-related decisions and offer innovative solutions. Ensure core values of the company are embedded in all designs and local creativity is fostered and encouraged. Provide guidance for clients, stakeholders, and external partners throughout the projects and ensure that project-relevant decisions are obtained and adhered to. Participate in yearly budget discussions to determine which projects are to be pursued from a workplace perspective. Ensure the global guideline implementation within the team. 15% domestic and 5% internaitonal travel required. Telecommuting is permitted.The position requires a Bachelor's degree in Interior Design, Interior Architecture or a related field and 10 years of experience in the job offered or as an Interior Designer, Workplace Designer or related role.The position requires requires Five (5) years of experience with the following skills: Project management. Experience with Conceptboard and surveys to analyze employee workflow to design, analyze and adapt office environments. Layout and design using CAD and 3D drawing skills. Design software and Adobe Creative Suite. Experience with concept development, net-fit out and renovation. Experience and understanding of building structure/architecture. 15% domestic and 5% international travel required.
