Join Vanguard’s Procurement team as a Strategic Sourcing Analyst. This role identifies, researches, and evaluates suppliers to meet the standards of price, quality, timing, and reliability of products and service. We are seeking a dynamic highly organized and flexible sourcing professional with strong communication skills.The Strategic Sourcing Analyst:
Leads and prepares medium to high complexity strategic sourcing transactions, negotiations, and supplier selection for products and services.
Performs supply market data analysis and recommends suppliers and vendors to the business. Identifies and is knowledgeable of industry trends and category strategies.
Drives engagements, resolves issues, and involves stakeholders as needed. Interfaces with other sourcing operations teams, business leaders, and legal & risk partners for each transaction.
Ensures proper closure of transactions including the successful handoff to purchasing and payables associates, the validation that suppliers will comply with agreed-upon payment terms, and that the contracting team receives documents in good order.
Supports adherence to procurement policies and procedures. Ensures application of fair business practices and procurement of products and services at the best execution and price.
Participates in special projects and performs other duties as assigned.
What it takes:
Five years related work experience.
Undergraduate degree or equivalent combination of training and experience.
Preferred skills:
Project Management certifications
Process Improvement certifications
Ability to influence others
IT Purchasing experience
Financial Services industry experience
