DESCRIPTION OF WORK
In this role, you will engage directly with customers to confirm their identification, ensure the accurate completion of application forms, and input relevant data into the online driver license application system. You will administer standardized assessments to gauge the applicants' comprehension of the Vehicle Code, driving regulations, and related traffic control devices. Additionally, a vision screening will be conducted for all applicants utilizing a telebinocular instrument to assess visual acuity.You will be responsible for entering the results of applicant tests and customer applications for driver license services into online software systems via a PC terminal. It is essential to strictly follow all components of the Driver and Vehicle Services' Customer Service Policy to maintain high standards of service.Furthermore, you will ensure that the appropriate fee waiver code is applied and accurately documented whenever a fee waiver is required to facilitate a customer transaction, adhering to all stipulations outlined in the Fee Waiver Guidelines.You may also be tasked with performing additional related duties as necessary to support the overall operations of the department.There is an ongoing demand for applicants who are proficient in Spanish for this role. Work hours are 8:15 AM to 4:45 PM, Tuesday - Saturday with 30-minute lunch.
Overtime and travel is required as needed.
Salary:In some cases, the starting salary may be non-negotiable.

QUALIFICATIONS
Minimum Experience and Training Requirements:One year of experience obtaining, evaluating, and providing information to the public.

This position requires the selected candidate to undergo and pass a Fingerprint and Name-Based Criminal History Check prior to employment.
