Wistar's dynamic environment supports the advancement of discoveries that will change the future of human health.The Wistar Institute is seeking outstanding candidates for faculty positions at the Assistant and Associate Professor level in the Wistar HIV Cure and Viral Diseases Center. Areas of particularly high interest include a focus on molecular virology of integrated provirus, AI/bioinformatics approaches to viral escape, studies on sex/co-morbidities or aging as determinants to viral persistence, and immunotherapy. Candidates with research focuses using novel tools and approaches for target identification/validation, pathogenesis, approaches in humanized mice or other novel animal models, in vivo screening systems, CRISPR-Cas/editing, single cell and immune profiling approaches are encouraged to apply.Applicants who have established strong publication track records and a trajectory toward or established independent research supported by extramural funding are of high priority. The successful candidates will be expected to pursue extramurally-funded competitive research programs with a primary focus on basic and/or translational studies in the context of HIV Cure and Viral Diseases.The Wistar Institute is an exceptional institute for advancing a career in research.
