- Knowledge of 802.11 protocols
- Knowledge of basic WiFi functionality & networking
- Be able to understand & execute defined test cases & result analysis
- Knowledge/previous experience with different chambers setups (i.e., controlled environment testing)
- Knowledge of performance testing (Rate vs Range, Rate vs Orientation)
- Knowledge of network performance and analysis tools such as iPerf, Wireshark and operating system such as Linux.
- The candidate should be a team player with good interpersonal communication skills
- Should be pro-active and have good time-management skills
- Preferred if he/she is a quick-learner and is adaptive to work with different test setups
- RelQA team encompasses different tracks such as Platco, WiFi Feature validations each of which are internally responsible for specific testing.
- Platco team which is a part of RelQA is responsible for Performance and Functional testing of video streaming (TV) products.
- The responsibilities also include result analysis of WiFi testing they perform and providing appropriate feedback to the development and management teams.
- Platco project deals with WiFi functional and performance testing of video (TV) products with various retail gateways.
- Coordinate with WiFi architects on product requirements and review results with them
- Create report for upper management
- Creation of appropriate tickets if any irregularities with test results were observed and follow-up on those
- Perform de-bugging of test setups
- Attend product related scrum calls
- To perform Rate vs Range tests on each variance of the TV based on requirement.
- To perform Interop and functional testing with various gateways.
- To perform Mesh steering and performance testing.
