Offsite Catering Captain (Part-Time / On-Demand)
We are seeking an experienced Offsite Catering Captain to join our team for the upcoming holiday season. This is a part-time, on-demand position ideal for someone with strong leadership skills, event management experience, and a professional presence.
Responsibilities:
Conduct pre-site visits to review event layout, load-in/load-out logistics, and event specifics.
Arrive at the catering commissary one hour prior to departure to review the menu, staff assignments, equipment, and food.
Oversee the loading of trucks, transport to event locations, and ensure timely setup.
Supervise 3–5 staff members and lead by example in a professional, hands-on manner.
Work the event as needed (bartending, hosting, guest management, etc.).
Manage event breakdown, reload and return equipment to commissary, and properly check in all staff post-event.
Requirements:
Prior experience managing offsite catering events is required.
Valid driver’s license and clean driving record.
Professional appearance and management style.
Strong organizational and communication skills.
Ability to lift and transport event equipment as needed.
Details:
Schedule: On-demand, typically 6–8 hour shifts.
Compensation: $300–$450 per event (depending on scope).
Location: Based in Philadelphia area.
