J.M. Basile & Associates, Inc is a successful commercial estate firm specializing in commercial sales, leasing and property management that is strategically located in King of Prussia, PA. We have been serving the Montgomery, Greater Chester and Delaware County areas for over 35 years.

Position Summary

We are currently seeking a versatile professional to serve as our office manager / property accountant for immediate hire. A successful candidate will manage and oversee the day-to-day operations of our busy office, as well as, handle all accounting functions.

Qualifications

College degree preferred

Experience in real estate or property accounting is a plus

Highly organized with a strong attention to detail and the ability to manage deadlines and due dates

Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications (Excel and Word)

Basic knowledge of accounting principles and bookkeeping

Experience working with accounting software (Yardi a plus)

Experience and familiarity with the following accounting functions:

- Accounts Receivable / Collections

- Accounts Payable

- Bank Reconciliations

- Other Reconciliations (account, ledger and property-level reconciliations)

- Financial Reports (Balance Sheet, Income Statement, Trial Balance & General Ledger)

- Accounting for Income and Expenses

Strong analytical, organizational and problem-solving skills

Excellent oral and written communication skills, and a pleasant phone manner

Ability to be a self-starter and work independently without supervision

Core Responsibilities

Administers and maintains all lease, property, owner and sales info within the Yardi accounting & property management software

A/P and A/R – handles all vendor bill payment, landlord disbursements and recording of tenant rent receipts/deposits

Collections – ensures rent is received in a timely manner and corresponds with tenants as needed

Reconciliations – handles all bank, ledger and property-level reconciliations monthly or periodic as needed

Finance Management – monitors all Income and Expenses

Financial Reporting – prepares monthly financial and property reports (as needed)

Marketing – maintaining online listings, brochure creation and handle periodic promotional mailings

General office management

File management – maintain all tenant, listing, and property files as well as general office records

Compensation & Benefits

Compensation:

Competitive hourly rate or salary based on experience ($22–$30/hour or $45,000–$60,000 annually)
