You, our Glass Coldworker, are a passionate, meticulous, and hard working individual working to grind and polish a variety of kinds and styles of glass pieces. As our Glass Coldworker, you shape and refine glass into finished works of art with precision and creativity. You excel at balancing discipline with creativity, maintaining composure and accuracy in a fast-paced environment where priorities can shift quickly. The work is meticulous, requiring a sharp eye and steady hand, yet it carries momentum and variety. No two pieces or days are ever the same. Your ability to execute fine detail while contributing to the broader vision makes you an indispensable part of transforming glass into masterfully crafted designs.

Job Responsibilities:

- Support all Glass and Production Department initiatives and tasks as directed by the Production Management team.

- Collaborate with our team of skilled glassmakers, cold workers, and designers to bring each custom piece to life.

- Using established processes and procedures, grind and polish glass tabletops.

- Perform standard and routine quality assurance inspections during and after processing for several details, including surface flatness, clarity, and edge detail to ensure all pieces meet or exceed our quality standards.

- Maintain a high level of craft, discipline, and organization with the physical handling of all the pieces of glass

- Support Department Managers and Production Leadership in continuous improvement, lean, and process initiatives as directed.

- Proactively participate in the organization and maintenance of shop spaces.

Required Experience/Skills

- 5+ years of experience coldworking, grinding, and polishing glass or stone

- Demonstrated experience working in production environments

- Strong passion for making, manufacturing, design, and art

- Strong team building, people management, and decision-making skills

- Strong organizational and problem-solving skills

- Excellent physical and digital organizational skills

- High level of time management and ability to work on several projects simultaneously
