Description Robert Half currently has a short-term contract / contract to permanent position open for an experienced, organized Staff Accountant at a dynamic, growing organization. The Staff Accountant is responsible for preparing journal entries, monthly and year-end closings, bank reconciliation, fixed asset maintenance, and general ledger reconciliation. During the monthly close, many aspects of internal reporting will be your responsibility. You will assist in developing and implementing accounting policies. In addition, you will play an active role in compliance, collaborate with our external auditors for quarterly reviews and annual audits, and review schedules for the reporting processes. This very involved position works to produce Cash Flow projections, Financial Statements, and Budgets. Carry out fixed asset ledger, depreciation, and reconciliation
Maintain monthly payment schedules
Assist in implementation, maintenance and adherence to internal controls and accounting procedures ensuring compliance with GAAP
Commentate on a wide variety of financial data and communicate it in a useful and understandable manner
Create monthly statement analysis to be used for management reportings
Be responsible for account reconciliations including prepaid expenses, payroll, and other assignments
Participate in the month end, quarter end and year end closing process including monthly financial close workbook preparation
Complete month end close, journal entries, without supervision
Participate in various initiatives spanning multiple departments
Ad-hoc tasks and special projects, as needed Requirements - Spreadsheet and database capabilities
BA/BS or equivalent in Accounting, Finance or Economics
Ability to thrive in a dynamic, high pressure environment, to prioritize deals and adapt to quick changes while remaining diligent
Proficient with spreadsheets and databases
Demonstrated knowledge of SAP
Adeptness in general ledger
Proficiency in Bank Account Reconciliation
Knowledge of Balance Sheet Account Reconciliation
Accounts Receivable (AR) experience highly desired
Solid understanding of account reconciliation
Accounts Payable (AP) experience
Recent and relevant accounting experience
Strong organizational, written and verbal communication skills
Self-starter with efficient time management and organizational skills
Strong analytical, communication, and leadership skills
Attention to detail and ability to follow standard procedures is a requirement
Strong organizational skills and a proven ability to meet deadlines
ERP system experience
