Interfaith Student Program ManagerThe Student Affairs Division of the University of Pittsburgh invites applications for the Interfaith Student Programs Manager, joining the Office of Inclusion Belonging staff team, whose aim is to build integrated, interactive, intersectional, and innovative ecosystems, partnering with students to make their Pitt experience one rooted in belonging. OIB's Interfaith Engagement work aims to create spaces for interfaith dialogue to occur; to build bridges for relationships to develop; and to encourage people in both secular and religious communities to strive for unity in diversity.The Interfaith Student Programs Manager will report to the Director of the Office of Inclusion and Belonging and focus on engaging and educating Pitt students to meet this mission, while also building networks with local community and campus-based (students, staff, and faculty) stakeholders in meaningful partnership. Key collaborators outside of the department and division include local faith communities, UPAC (University of Pittsburgh Association of Chaplains), and the Office of Equity, Diversity, and Inclusion.Job SummaryManages the program's day-to-day operations while implementing the vision and mission of the office and supporting the University's diversity, equity, and inclusion (DEI) community. Develops numerous initiatives for both the University and surrounding communities to enhance personal spiritual identity and communal connections.Essential FunctionsWe seek a leader who holds expertise in major and minor world religions in local and global contexts with a focus on student development and experiential education. Successful candidates will demonstrate skills and experience in grounding one's work in diversity, equity, inclusion, and belonging; as well as experience with facilitation of dialogue and learning opportunities amongst people holding different faith, religious, and secular identities. Additional skills include the ability to work with different groups (students, staff, community) to identify and coordinate interfaith initiatives, while assessing their effectiveness and participant learning outcomes.It is every employee's obligation to support the Student Affairs vision: to support the whole student. All employees within the Division will be required to perform duties outside of their department. Additional assignments may include, but are not limited to Welcome Week activities, Divisional committees, events, etc.Physical EffortMostly sedentary. May require routine mobility within the around campus and to partners in the community.
