Description We are offering an opportunity in the mortgage industry for a Title Clerk position in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. This role is mainly responsible for managing and processing customer credit applications, maintaining customer credit records, and handling customer credit inquiries. This position is a contract role in a professional office setting.Responsibilities: Calculate and issue checks for all recording fees Proo and review documents, ensuring they are sent for recording within the specified time frame Follow up with examiners, courthouses, and e-record providers to verify documents have been recorded Handle and process all rejected documents in a timely manner Update the status of all recorded documents in the system and return them to customers Monitor and maintain logs tracking e-recording information Conduct post-closing audits on completed settlement files for accuracy, completeness, and compliance Address internal and external customer inquiries in a timely manner through direct or group managed email boxes Resolve problem files in a timely manner or escalate them to the appropriate manager or risk management Understand and run various reports for clients to keep the flow of orders moving and remove aged open orders Utilize skills such as Data Processing, Microsoft Excel, Microsoft Office Suites, Microsoft Outlook, Check Processing, Closing Processes, Customer Service, and Data Entry for Documentation. Requirements Proficiency in Data Processing Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel Familiarity with Microsoft Office Suites Ability to utilize Microsoft Outlook effectively Experience in Check Processing Understanding of Closing Processes within the mortgage industry Excellent Customer Service skills Fast and accurate Data Entry abilities Strong Documentation skills Prior experience in the mortgage industry is preferred Ability to work independently and as part of a team Strong communication and interpersonal skills Attention to detail and high level of accuracy Problem-solving and decision-making skills Ability to handle confidential information responsibly.
