Job Overview:
We are seeking a highly motivated and results-driven Leads Generator Specialist to join our team. The primary responsibility of this role is to generate leads for advertisement sales through cold calling local businesses. The ideal candidate will have excellent communication skills, a strong sales mindset, and the ability to build and maintain relationships with potential clients.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct cold calls to local businesses to introduce and promote advertising opportunities in our magazine.
- Identify and qualify potential leads through effective questioning and understanding of business needs.
- Maintain a detailed and organized database of leads and follow-up activities using Excel software.
- Collaborate with the Publisher to develop and implement effective lead generation strategies.
- Schedule appointments for the Publisher/Director of Sales with qualified leads to discuss advertising opportunities further.
- Achieve and exceed monthly lead generation targets and KPIs.
- Execute email proposals to local businesses at the end of the sales meeting as directed by the Publisher
- Confirm existing appointments to prevent/limit no-shows
- Provide regular feedback and reports on lead generation activities, successes, and areas for improvement.
Qualifications:
- Experience in lead generation, cold calling, or sales, preferably in the advertising or media industry.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to build rapport quickly with potential clients.
- Self-motivated, goal-oriented, and able to work independently.
- Proficient in using Excel and other sales tools.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to handle rejection and maintain a positive attitude.
- High school diploma or equivalent; a degree in marketing, business, or a related field is a plus.
