Seeking an experienced Heavy Truck & Trailer mechanic for our fleet of heavy trucks and trailers located on the westside in the City of Pittsburgh. The lead mechanic will supervise two other mechanics including scheduling and prioritizing work to be completed each day and oversee all shop activities including performing hands-on repairs and maintenance.
Requirements:
- 2 Years Heavy Truck Experience
- Ability to work independently and supervise a team effectively
- Valid Driver's License
- Ability to change-out vehicle components including, but not limited to turbos, starters, rearends, transmissions, suspension items, and engine injectors
- Ability to pass a pre-employment drug test
- Supply personal hand tools.
Qualifications:
- Strong mechanical aptitude with high attention to detail
- Ability to diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical, electrical and electronic problems
- Ability to operate diagnostic tools and software
- Prefer PA State Inspection License but not required.
Duties:
- Ability to prepare and complete documentation records of service and repairs performed
- Review other mechanics repair orders for completeness and efficiency of work performed
- Verify in-stock inventory to perform repairs and maintenance scheduled.
Schedule:
- 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. with a 30-minute lunch break four days between Monday and Friday, employee's choice with notice, with Saturday being a mandatory workday.
