Please do not apply here, apply internally through Workday.If you are NOT a current employee or student, please click "Apply" and complete the application process for external applicants.JOB DESCRIPTION AND POSITION REQUIREMENTS:The Hockett lab in the Department of Plant Pathology and Environmental Microbiology at The Pennsylvania State University is seeking part-time technical help to contribute toward experiments that will characterize microbial communities suppressive to plant foliar diseases. This work builds on our recently published research, showing that serial passaging phyllosphere microbial communities can result in the development of disease suppression. Specific goals of this research include engineering suicide genes into bacterial phytopathogens. The incumbent will also have roles in collaborating with other project members and synthesizing data.Minimum qualifications:

Prior lab microbiology research experience
