JOB DESCRIPTION AND POSITION REQUIREMENTS:The Wagner Lab at Penn State seeks a postdoctoral scholar researcher to be part of a dynamic and interdisciplinary team that will develop integrative, multidisciplinary science to provide a system-level, comprehensive understanding of the factors affecting stream and fish health, aquatic conditions, and fish habitat within the Chesapeake Bay Watershed. Using the vast number of existing datasets that have been compiled for the Chesapeake Bay Watershed, the successful candidate will lead efforts to determining how landscape-scale processes and management activities are affecting aquatic conditions (e.g., fish populations, water quality, etc.). This will be accomplished by using varied modeling approaches to analyze relationships between management actions, drivers, stressors, aquatic habitat characteristics, and macroinvertebrates and fish community datasets. This position has the potential for remote work. Qualifications:The successful candidate must have completed all PhD requirements by the appointment date. Competitive candidates should be highly motivated and possess a PhD in ecology, fisheries, environmental health, statistics, or a related discipline with a strong quantitative background.
