Join the Northeast Regional Office, Land Recycling Section of the Environmental Cleanup & Brownfields Program to contribute to the implementation of the Land Recycling and Site Remediation Standards Act (Act 2). DESCRIPTION OF WORKProficient understanding of Act 2 regulations is a necessity for this role, along with knowledge of State and Federal regulatory programs due to cross-program collaboration on contaminated sites. Advanced knowledge and application of hydrogeologic and geologic principles are essential for environmental protection. You must be able to address complex contamination issues in various geologic settings and offer independent professional opinions. Additionally, providing professional support to staff, both within and outside the program, is a key aspect of this position. Interested in learning more? Full-time employment

Work hours are 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM, Monday - Friday, with 30-minute lunch.

Telework: You may have the opportunity to work from home (telework) part-time, up to 3 days per week. In order to telework, you must have a securely configured high-speed internet connection and work from an approved location inside Pennsylvania. If you are unable to telework, you will have the option to report to the headquarters office in Wilkes Barre.

Salary: In some cases, the starting salary may be non-negotiable.

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE, TRAINING & ELIGIBILITYQUALIFICATIONS Special Requirements:

All positions require possession of an active license as a professional geologist issued by the Pennsylvania State Registration Board for Professional Engineers, Land Surveyors and Geologists.

All positions require possession of an active Pennsylvania non-commercial Class C driver's license or equivalent.

Other Requirements:

PA residency requirement (https://www.employment.pa.gov/Additional%20Info/Pages/default.aspx) is currentlywaived for this title.

You must be able to perform essential job functions.
