Production Technician 1st Shift - US - York, PAThe Blueprint (Role Profile)

Production Technicians operate various machines in chain manufacturing process including forming, welding, heat treatment, chemical plating, finishing, testing, and packaging.

Work schedule: Monday through Thursday 7 AM to 5 PM

Campbell Chain has been in York for over 100 years producing commercial and industrial chain for the oil and gas, fishing, construction, and transportation industries.

The Build (Responsibilities)

Operate the assigned automatic machinery and adjust as needed

Load and operate machines assigned to form, weld, treat, repair, finish, test, or package chain

Properly adjust machines to run efficiently and to maintain a high-quality product

Use gauges and visual checks to inspect chain and maintain quality

Troubleshoot potential quality or production issues

Shut down malfunctioning machines and notify appropriate personnel

Assist setup or maintenance personnel as directed

Perform preventive maintenance

Move materials and products within work area

Cross-train to operate various pieces of equipment and train others

Adhere to company policies and procedures to produce a quality product, including reporting non-conforming materials

Report unusual conditions or questionable items to team leader or supervisor

Adhere to all safety rules and regulations

Keep work areas clean and orderly

Maintain accurate records

Perform other duties as requested, directed, or assignedThe Toolbox (Qualifications)

High school diploma or GED required

Minimum 1-year similar work experience

Demonstrated mechanical skills and ability required

Able to work overtime (more than 40 hours per week) including Saturdays as needed

Stand, walk, bend, stoop, and crouch continuously

Lift, push, pull, and carry 50 pounds
