Description We are looking for a diligent Accounting Specialist to join our team in Providence, Rhode Island. In this role, you will be vital to the accuracy and efficiency of our financial operations. This role primarily involves handling Accounts Receivable (AR) and Accounts Payable (AP) tasks along with other important accounting duties. Responsibilities: Efficiently process and monitor incoming payments as part of the Accounts Receivable (AR) function. Generate and distribute invoices, statements, and aging reports to facilitate timely collection of payments. Reconcile AR accounts and maintain accurate records of all financial transactions. Review, verify, and process vendor invoices as part of the Accounts Payable (AP) function. Prepare and execute payment runs, including checks, ACH, and wire transfers. Maintain up-to-date records of all transactions and correspondence with vendors and resolve discrepancies with vendors. Reconcile AP accounts to ensure accuracy. Assist in month-end closing procedures and financial reporting to ensure timely and accurate financial records. Prepare journal entries and account reconciliations to maintain accurate accounting records. Support the annual audit process by providing necessary documentation and information. Assist in the implementation and maintenance of internal controls and accounting procedures to ensure compliance with financial regulations. Requirements Must possess skills in Account Reconciliation Proficiency in Accounts Payable (AP) is required Knowledge of Accounts Receivable (AR) is essential Experience with Billing is necessary Ability to perform Data Entry tasks accurately and quickly Should have experience in Invoice Processing Proficiency in Microsoft Excel is required Knowledge of QuickBooks is desirable Familiarity with SAP is beneficial Robert Half is the world’s first and largest specialized talent solutions firm that connects highly qualified job seekers to opportunities at great companies.
