As an emerging leader, ensures the achievement of contract deliverables, staff satisfaction, and the provision of high-quality services to program participantsMaintains a strong knowledge base of the state’s TANF requirements and procedures and provides strengths-based case management and career and vocational advising support to a caseload of program participantsAssumes central responsibility for empowering participants to achieve self-sufficiency by monitoring progress through the program cycle, beginning with referral and continuing through retention and advancement effortsContinues to abide by the standards and procedures of the Career Advisor (job description attached), maintaining a full caseload with a goal of up to 25 cases and a focus on active engagement and support to training and/or employmentServes as primary employment support for participants approaching their timeclock limit for continued cash assistanceMaintains expert knowledge of WORCS and the state’s TANF database to ensure accuracy in documentation and excellence in quality assurance reviewMaintains updated information about area resources, trainings, educational opportunities, and employers and provide and facilitate community-based referralsIn partnership with the Business Services Consultant, sources employment resources and develops OJT/Job Ready placements for participants eager to enter/return to workAttends job fairs on a quarterly basis to maintain knowledge of employment opportunities for participants with limited or no previous work experienceIdentifies, develops, and leads engaging curriculum that motivates and supports participant successSuggests and develops innovative ideas that promote participant engagement and long-term successServes as a lead staff member at satellite sites, developing a strong knowledge of – and engagement with – the community and its resources, as well as ensuring the provision of high-quality services, schedule of workshops, and engagement of program participantsIn partnership with the leadership team, identifies and develops areas of expertise that supports programmatic needsDevelops transitional plans for participants approaching their program exit to address financial adjustment, retention efforts, and ongoing supportServes as primary employment support for participants approaching their time clock limit for continued cash assistanceTravels to satellite sites and outlying communities, as needed, to support program participantsProvides on-site, informal support to new and existing staffActively participates in new staff training and on-boarding activitiesFully utilizes supervision to support personal and professional growth and advancement, as well as to gain and develop supervisory skillsServes as formalized mentors to team members as assignedDevelop and lead employee satisfaction and development activities, including staff development sessions, team huddles and other staff meetingsContributes to the overall success and quality of program by working constructively and collaboratively with other staff members to achieve individual and organizational goalsOther duties as assigned
