Job Description SummaryPlans, organizes, and directs the overall sales program for a specific region assigned by the Company to achieve sales volume and profits consistent with division objectives. We have over 70,000 employees and a presence in virtually every country around the world to address some of the most challenging global health issues.ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS OF THE POSITIONEstablishes, implements and directs specific short and long-term sales strategies in support of division and corporate sales and profit objectives.

Formulates and administers the approved budget.

Develops territory and district goals and incentive plans for sales representatives and managers.

Ensures that sales personnel are properly trained and motivated to achieve group and individual objectives.

Develops regional personnel to assume responsibilities beyond present position.

Evaluates regional personnel in sales skills and techniques, product and clinical application, competitive knowledge and other areas of identifiable expertise deemed necessary to meet corporate goals in accordance with company standards.

Communicates with the Vice President of Sales in formulating proposals for policies and makes recommendations on procedures pertaining to sales, pricing, product acceptance, new products, marketing services policies and procedures, distribution, customer relations, and marketing strategies.

Monitors performance of sales personnel against established objectives.

Promotes products and technologies through the production of materials and representation at industry shows and conventions.

Participates in field and home office activities to expand and improve relations with the customer.

Provides information gathered in the field to Marketing, production and product development organizations.

Coordinates and drives initiatives to further develop the talents and skills of members of the sales organization.

Realign territory boundaries to reflect changing market conditions.

Works with Corporate RVPs to insure Davol’s base is maintained and growing.

Performs special projects and other duties as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS, Knowledge and Skills requiredBachelor Degree required.

Minimum of 7 years general sales experience, medical sales experience preferred with at least 2 years management experience.

Knowledge of selling techniques, motivation and compensation of sales personnel, acquisition and interpretation of sales data.

Knows strategic direction of products.

Knowledge of competition and their strategy in the marketplace.

Leadership skills.

Ability to motivate sales management and personnel.

Ability to direct District Managers and Territory Managers to achieve corporate goals.

Ability to travel at least 80%, including overnight travel.

Must possess and maintain a valid drivers’ license and a driving record satisfactory to the Company. Driving records will be monitored on an annual basis or as needed.

Must possess and maintain a criminal background satisfactory to the Company. Criminal backgrounds will be monitored on an annual basis or as needed.

Must be able to meet and maintain customer/medical facility access requirements, including regular or periodic drug screenings with a satisfactory result in accordance with the requirements of the customer/medical facility serviced by the Company.
