We are immediately hiring a Shipping/Receiving Associate for a locally owned and operated service company in Awendaw, SC. You will play a crucial role in ensuring the efficient and accurate shipment of our products to customers. You will be responsible for various tasks related to the shipping process, including packaging, labeling, and preparing orders for shipment. Attention to detail, organizational skills, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment are essential for success in this role.
Responsibilities:
Order Processing: Receive and process incoming orders accurately and efficiently.
Packaging: Properly package products according to company standards to ensure safe and secure shipment.
Labeling: Generate and affix shipping labels to packages, ensuring accuracy and compliance with shipping regulations.
Inventory Management: Assist in maintaining accurate inventory records by conducting regular inventory counts and reporting discrepancies.
Quality Control: Conduct visual inspections of products to ensure they meet quality standards before shipment.
Shipping Coordination: Coordinate with shipping carriers to schedule pickups and ensure timely delivery of orders.
Documentation: Maintain shipping records and documentation, including packing slips, invoices, and shipping manifests.
Requirements:
Certified in Sit-down or stand up forklift
Tenure with shipping/receiving of goods
Highly proficient in Microsoft Office
Ability to lift up o 50 lbs. on a consistent basis
