Robert Half Finance is seeking a skilled Financial Analyst to join a thriving Rental/Leasing Services company. This Financial Analyst position will require the candidate to execute financial modeling on various financial products as well as measure, analyze, and forecast performance in conjunction with operating plans. The Financial Analyst will also advise management on the allocation of resources to best accomplish objectives and prepare reports for management. This Financial Analyst role, which is a full-time employment opportunity, is located in the West Columbia, South Carolina.Your responsibilities
Support weekly, quarterly and annual Area/Segment-level Bookings and P&L forecasting
Compile and supervise forecasting reports
Work alongside senior executives on strategic deep dives to create financial models and insights on topics such as: Retention forecasts, event tracking and execution, Campaign Planning & Tracking, return on investment of strategic investments, and strategic resource allocation, and prioritization
An ideal candidate should be highly flexible, comfortable with large amounts of information, and adept at managing expectations
Understand and be able to explain internal and external drivers impacting performance and trending
Track monthly and quarterly performance through comparison of actuals versus expectations and enable business partners to handle their resources
Enable effective Business Intelligence (BI) to provide forward-looking insight and decision support
Work closely with cross functional partners in Accounting and Operations to execute against plans
Analyze performance to date and assess potential risks and opportunities
Work with Accounting on the monthly and quarterly financial close process
Develop monthly reports to business partners on financial results and if any actions are required
Requirements
Able to build and deliver effective presentations to audiences with wide-ranging backgrounds
Practical knowledge in problem solving through statistical analysis or with large data sets highly preferable (such as in derivatives, structured finance, or business analytics or in a similarly demanding and analytical role)
Skill with Business Intelligence (BI) reporting tools required
Active problem-solver who listens for customer cues and actively resolves problems with grace and integrity
Solid understanding of financial analysis
Financial planning & analysis (go-to-market experience favored)
Spreadsheet and ERP system experience suggested
Experience in problem solving through statistical analysis or with large data sets highly preferable (such as in derivatives, structured finance, or business analytics or in a similarly demanding and analytical role)
BA/BS degree in finance or a related field
Strong communication and interpersonal skills (verbal, written, and listening)
