Key Components of Job Success
- Assisting dentist chairside.
- Maintaining sterility before, during, and after each patient encounter.
- Sterilizing instruments and preparing operatories for patient care.
- Taking radiographs and alginate impressions.
- Recording proposed treatment, existing restorations, and other dental conditions as directed by dentist.
- Helping maintain adequate inventory of dental supplies at all times .
- Occasional coronal polishing, flossing, and fluoride application.
- Helping in other areas as needed to ensure easy patient flow.
- Communicating effectively with patients and fellow team members.
- Creating a friendly environment for patients.
- Scheduling appointments accurately to reach goals as directed.
- Presenting and discussing treatment options and plans confidently and knowledgeably as needed.
- Exhibit an attitude of teamwork and help where needed.
Qualified candidates MUST :
- Have an excellent work ethic.
- Enjoy working with kids.
- Have great attention to detail.
- Have the ability to multi-task.
- Always maintain a sterile work environment.
- Learn quickly.
- Exhibit great decision-making skills.
- Have previous dental experience
- Have at least a basic understanding of dental insurance coverage
Strongly preferred but not required
- Current CPR certification
- Current nitrous oxide certification
- Experience with Eaglesoft dental software
