This position serves as an Area Lead or Lead on assigned projects or performs complex to difficult engineering assignments, evaluates, selects, and applies advanced engineering techniques to a broad set of complex assignments.Control Systems Perform control systems sizing calculations for control valves, relief valves, flow elements, thermowells and other instrumentation Create instrument index and datasheets, generate reports, and monitor design wiring and loop development activities in Intergraph Hexagon Smart® Instrumentation database Develop complex control systems narrative specifications Prepare complex Instrument design and installation requirements Develop complex control systems, cause and effect diagrams, or logic diagrams as required by project Represent control systems in model reviews Closely monitor 3D modeling prepared by the design group using review software Develop complex specifications for Distributed Control Systems (DCS), Programmable Logic Controller (PLC) and Safety Instrumented Systems (SIS) hardware and software applications Monitor DCS/PLC/SIS design developed by the design group Advanced knowledge of:o Specifying instrumentationo Control systems procurement activitieso Piping and Instrumentation Diagram (P&ID) representation; can recognize/report problems associated with control systems representation on P&IDo Developing control strategies and represent on P&IDWorking Conditions Generally favorable indoor office workspace, and/or; Various levels of environmental conditions including but not limited to project worksites and vendor/client facilities which may have temporary office space, moving mechanical parts and vibration; high, precarious places; fumes or airborne particles and extreme temperatures and high noise levelsJob ID: 147283BRCity: GreenvilleState: South CarolinaCountry: United StatesWe are an equal opportunity employer that recognizes the value of a diverse workforce.
