A national courier company has an immediate opening for an Independent Contractor Courier to run daily (Monday-Friday) scheduled courier route to Aberdeen/Watertown serving the Sioux Falls VA. The route starts at the Sioux Falls VA Hospital to pickup supplies with delivery to the Aberdeen and Watertown VA Clinics with return to Sioux Falls VA Hospital. Route is 406 miles round trips and compensation is $290.00 per trip
Additionally, there are occasional as-needed runs within 15 miles of the VA Hospital.
To qualify you MUST:
Have a passion for serving our Veteran Community
Be able to read and write English
Have a presentable and neat appearance
Have a clean driving record and current automobile insurance
Have a late model mini van or mid-size SUV that is in good shape with operating Heat/AC
Be able to pass a background check
Be able to lift 50 pounds and put it in the vehicle
Be a dependable, detail oriented self-starter that can work without supervision.
Previous courier experience preferred.
This is not an employee position! As an Independent Contractor you will be compensated weekly and will receive a 1099 form at the end of the year for tax purposes. As an Independent Contractor you will be responsible for all costs associated with operations to include vehicle, fuel, insurance phone, etc
