job descriptionSr SQL Developerjob summary:The Data Architect/Report developer will support the operations of the Performance Metrics & Analytics Technical Reporting team. This resource is responsible for the support of the architecture and ETL of the data warehouse / databases and reporting solutions using technologies such as SQL Integration Services (SSIS), Microsoft PowerBI, SQL Reporting Services (SSRS), SQL Analysis Server (SSAS), SharePoint, etc. This role requires strong data modeling skills and experience using Analysis Services and MDX. This role encompasses the spectrum of BI solutions, including corporate/enterprise Dashboards down to personal/user-specific solutions. The resource will work with other reporting specialists, managers and support teams in ensuring the system is running as efficiently and optimally as possible.location: Hermitage, Tennesseejob type: Permanentsalary: $110,000 - 125,000 per yearwork hours: 9am to 5pmeducation: Bachelorsresponsibilities:
Support the ETL processes required to support the data structures required for the reporting solutions
Support the daily/weekly/monthly ETL processes to ensure data is loaded and available per service levels
Support for the Sharepoint 2016 Farm
Support of PowerBI reporting and gateway
Research, review and analyze the effectiveness and efficiency of existing reports and develop strategies for enhancing or further leveraging these processes
Work with GTS to facilitate implementation of new or improved reporting processes
qualifications:
College diploma or University degree in Computer Science, Business, Engineering, or equivalent work experience
Must have 5+ years of experience in the Microsoft BI toolkit (SSIS, SSRS, SSAS), experience with SQL 2012, 2016 preferred
Proven experience with reporting tools, software, and other applications such as PowerBI, Microsoft SharePoint 2013, 2016, Nintex preferred
Considerable exposure to the operation and analysis of relational and multi-dimensional database software and standards as well as data retrieval methodologies.
Extensive practical knowledge in importing data from varying data sources using differing data connections types (API, flat file, direct connection, etc.).
Able to exercise independent judgment and act on it
Excellent analytical, mathematical, and creative problem-solving skills
Excellent listening, interpersonal, written, and oral communication skills
Logical and efficient, with keen attention to detail
Highly self-motivated and directed
Ability to effectively prioritize and execute tasks while under pressure
Strong customer service orientation
Experience working in a team-oriented, collaborative environment
Maintains constant awareness of deliverables; keeps team focused on short and long term milestones
