Group Leader - Assembly - 1st Shift

Position Summary:Reporting to the Production Supervisor, this position is a tremendous opportunity to help support the Production Supervisor and drive production while managing safety, quality, productivity and cost. This position will set up the right individual with the opportunity to work with a worldwide, growing, private company that provides job diversity and upward career path.Position Responsibilities:(Key results expected from this position in the first 6-12 months)Responsible for the daily activities required to meet the production scheduleMake sure proper manning is in place to support the TAKT timeEnsure adequate training is administered to the new employeesMeet all safety, quality, productivity and MRO goals for the areaProperly fill out an hour by hour sheet each day, repair logs, checklists, etc.Correctly production report items dailyFollow standard work as established and responsible for taking time observations and laying out standard work as needed.Communicate clearly with supervisors and other team members at all levels in the organizationResponsible for monitoring repairs and scrap as well as providing corrective actions to the supervisorMay be assigned to drive fork truck and repair on assembly line as wellMust be able to do basic mathMust be able to stand and walk for 10-12 hours per day and lift up to 40 lbs.
