ResponsibilitiesWe are seeking a highly skilled and experienced professional to join our Eastman Corporate Engineering team. As the Technical Administration Leader, you will be responsible for overseeing and managing corporate technical standards, CAD IT applications, 2D and 3D platforms, document control and lasers scanning. Your experience in the engineering principles, combined with your leadership, management skills and experience in the chemical industry, will be crucial in leading a technical support team to drive teamwork, innovations and support successful project execution.Responsibilities:

Lead and manage a technical administration support team, provide guidance, set priorities and goals.

Coordinate the processing of engineering services and design requests with the corporate engineering disciplines departments

Work with corporate engineering discipline departments and project management office to track and report on Design KPIs

Manage corporate technical standards to ensure compliance with applicable codes, regulations, and industry standards.

Manage 2D and 3D platforms, including licensing, standardization, and users’ technical support.

Work with engineering service providers as related to CAD applications data management to support project execution.

Support projects with document control services.

Work with engineering contractors to oversee document controls services.

Responsible for managing deliverables against expected results

Thorough understanding and application of procedures and concepts within own department and basic knowledge of other disciplines

Applies Understanding of how the team relates to other related areas to improve efficiency of own team

Guides and influences others either internally in other areas or externally with service providers

Manage the laser scanning services team to support projects execution.

Collaborate with cross-functional teams and stakeholders, including all engineering disciplines, project managers, operations, and procurement, to support successful project delivery.

Support the execution of engineering scope of work inhouse and at the selected engineering service provider in all phases (Pre-FEED, FEED and Detail Design).

Monitor project progress, identify potential issues or delays, and implement corrective actions as necessary to ensure timely technical administration services support.

Stay updated with the latest advancements and trends in technical administration services (2D, 3D, laser scanning, document management, etc.) and identify opportunities for innovation and process improvement within the organization.

Foster a culture of collaboration, continuous learning, and professional development among the team.

Active participation in professionals engineering societies and related Industry Forums and committees such as CAE, CAD, PIP or others.

Mentor and develop emerging talent.

Qualifications Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in engineering services organization. Minimum of 10 years of experience with 5 years supporting project execution in the Chemical industry. Basic knowledge of engineering work processes, practices, codes, and regulations. Proven experience in leading and managing a team with excellent leadership and communication skills. Ability to mentor and develop less experienced team members. Familiarity with CASD software and tools, such as AutoCAD, E3D, S3D, and project wise. Excellent organizational skills and the ability to prioritize and manage multiple projects simultaneously. Experience managing change with cross functional teams and stakeholders to ensure successful development and implementation of new processes.Location: Kingsport, TN Eastman Chemical Company is an equal opportunity employer.
