Description We are offering a contract to permanent employment opportunity for an Accounting Clerk in Knoxville, Tennessee. This role is primarily in the finance industry, where you will be responsible for maintaining accurate financial records and processing transactions. You will be a part of a dynamic workplace where your skills in account reconciliation, accounts payable, accounts receivable, and billing will be highly valuable. Responsibilities: Processing and recording transactions, such as accounts payable and receivable, expense vouchers and receipts, ensuring all documentation is accurate. Conducting account reconciliation tasks for clients and vendors. Utilizing Microsoft Excel and ADP - Payroll to manage and analyze financial data. Managing invoice processing, ensuring all invoices are sent out accurately and on time. Performing data entry tasks to update and maintain financial data and records. Posting journal entries for accrued expenses and revenues. Assisting in the preparation of payroll, ensuring all payroll transactions are processed efficiently and timely. Resolving accounts payable and receivable issues or queries. Actively participating in financial audits, preparing necessary documentation, and assisting auditors as needed. Conducting regular ledger maintenance to ensure all financial data is up to date and accurate. For immediate consideration please contact: Kelly Fellows 865-370-2219 Requirements Minimum of 2 years of experience in an accounting clerk role or similar Proficiency in the use of Microsoft Excel Experience with ADP - Payroll and Payroll processing Ability to perform account reconciliation Experience with Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR) Familiarity with billing processes Proficient in data entry tasks Experience in invoice processing Ability to post journal entries accurately Strong analytical and problem-solving skills Excellent communication and interpersonal skills High attention to detail and accuracy Ability to work independently and as part of a team Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field is preferred.
