Job Title: Pharmacy TechnicianJob DescriptionWe are seeking a dedicated Pharmacy Technician to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for preparing medication and healthcare products for patients, processing prescriptions using computer software, and ensuring accurate labeling and recording of dosage information. This position does not require prior experience with Rapid Pack Machine/Strip Packaging, Dispill packaging/Bubble Packing, or the Pioneer system, as training will be provided.Responsibilities
Prepare medication and healthcare products for patients
Process prescriptions using computer software
Take prescriptions over the phone
Label and record dosage information
Monitor medication and supply storage and inventory
Insert prescription and patient information into the pharmacy system
Review prescription and patient information with a pharmacist
Essential Skills
Pharmacy Technician Certification (CPhT)
Customer service skills
Retail pharmacy experience
Pharmacy technician license
Pharmacy technician certificate
Additional Skills & Qualifications
Independent pharmacy experience preferred, but not required
Packaging experience preferred, but not required
Work EnvironmentThis is a small, local pharmacy with a tight-knit team. The work hours are 9 AM to 6 PM from Monday to Friday, with one day off during the week (likely Tuesday but flexible), and every other Saturday 9 AM to 2 PM, including a 30-minute lunch break. Our pharmacy values quality interactions with customers over quantity and provides free delivery to the community.
