job detailsOur client in Lebanon, TN is seeking an experienced Environmental Health & Safety Specialist. This is a Direct Hire opportunity. The Environmental Health & Safety Specialist is responsible for inspecting, identifying, & maintaining various environmental aspects per ISO 14001. It is imperative that the EHS Specialist maintain accurate & up-to-date reports, as well as a constant dedication to continuous OH&S improvements in accordance with ISO 45001. Education: Minimum Required: Associate's degree in occupational health, safety, or a related scientific field, such as chemistry, industrial hygiene, or engineering. Experience Minimum Required: 3-5+ years experience in an industrial or manufacturing environment recommended. Job Specific Skills: Minimum Required: Keen sense for adaptation/evolution of procedure Adept critical thinking skills Ability to communicate a wide scope of information with little to no confusion (Communication skills) May need to work some hours on 2nd shift at times and on Saturdays as needed.salary: $70,000 - $75,000 per yearshift: Firstwork hours: 8 AM - 5 PMeducation: AssociateResponsibilities-Inspect & evaluate environment, equipment, & processes in facility to ensure compliance with safety regulations, industry standards, & ISO 45001/14001.-Identify potentially hazardous biological, chemical, & radiological materials & collect samples if needed for analysis.-Monitor regulatory required reporting.-Maintain environmental reports, permits & recordkeeping.-Manages IMDS with various OEMs.-Recommend changes to protect workers & educate employees on how to prevent health problems using safety training programs.-Work with management to report incidents, spills, & help identify their causes while finding ways to prevent them. Report findings to management on the root cause & corrective action.-Complete & submit annual Tier II, EPA ID, & DOT Haz requirements.-Review SPCC with external agencies & top management.-Create, review, & implement all health & safety programs in the company in accordance with ISO 45001/14001 standards.-Is a source & contact for Safety Data Sheet (SDS) related questions. This is to include creation or modification of SDS for new or existing products.-Manage training regarding environment, health & safety for all employees in the company to ensure compliance & to exceed EHS goals-Update, review, & manage EAP, to include annual drills while coordinating with regulatory agencies.-In cooperation with Human Resources, manage Workers Comp program & ensure all preventative training is reviewed.The essential functions of this role include:

working up to 5 hrs of overtime per week

working weekends
