Description We are offering an exciting opportunity in MORRISTOWN, Tennessee, for a Plant Controller within the manufacturing industry. The role involves managing accounting functions, collaborating with the plant manager, and working with a shared service center for account-related issues. The ideal candidate will be responsible for budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis, among other duties.Responsibilities: Manage and oversee the general ledger, ensuring accurate and timely processing Work with the Bill of Materials (BOM's) and cost accounting to facilitate financial analysis Partner with the plant manager and business partners to align business plans and strategies Ensure SOX/JSOX Compliance within all accounting functions Handle month-end close procedures and submit business plans to upper management Conduct variance analysis and cash forecasting to support budgeting and forecasting processes Oversee accounts payable and receivables, resolving any issues with the shared service center Train staff in accounting practices and procedures, fostering a knowledgeable and efficient team Utilize software such as Oracle and Microsoft Excel to maintain accurate records and perform journal entries.For immediate consideration please contact Lisa Coker at 865-370-2084 to set up an interviewRequirements Minimum of 5 years of experience in a similar role Proficiency in Accounting Functions Experience with Accounts Payable (AP) processes Ability to handle Annual Budget preparations and execution Familiarity with Auditing processes and principles Experience in Budget Processes Knowledge of Oracle financial software Ability to manage Journal Entries Experience in working with Business Partners Ability to maintain and establish Business partnerships Experience in Month End Close procedures Skills in Budgeting and Forecasting Proficiency in Financial Analysis Experience in Variance Analysis Knowledge of Cost Accounting Familiarity with Bill of materials (BOM) Knowledge of J-Sox compliance requirements Familiarity with SOX - Sarbanes-Oxley compliance University Degree in related field Experience in the Manufacturing sector Proficiency in Microsoft Excel Robert Half is the world’s first and largest specialized talent solutions firm that connects highly qualified job seekers to opportunities at great companies.
