Job Title: PhlebotomistJob DescriptionWe are seeking a dedicated Phlebotomist to perform blood collections by venipuncture and capillary techniques for all age groups. The role involves collecting and storing specimens for various tests, demonstrating techniques using straight needles and/or butterfly needles, and ensuring accurate data entry of patient information. The ideal candidate will also process billing information, prepare collected specimens for testing, and maintain patient and specimen information logs.Responsibilities

Perform blood collections by venipuncture and capillary techniques for all age groups.

Collect and store specimens for drug screens, paternity tests, alcohol tests, etc.

Demonstrate technique/s using straight needles and/or butterfly needles.

Perform data entry of patient information in an accurate and timely manner.

Process billing information and collect payments when required.

Prepare all collected specimens for testing and analysis.

Check all test requisitions or computer labels against scripts to ensure 100% accuracy.

Package specimens for transport.

Maintain patient and specimen information logs.

Essential Skills

High School Diploma or GED required

1+ years of experience in phlebotomy required

Experience with both pediatric and geriatric patients

Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite

Phlebotomy

Venipuncture

Specimen collection

Blood draw

Data entry

Additional Skills & Qualifications

Minimum of 6 months' work experience performing venipunctures in a fast-paced lab or hospital setting

Experience in test ordering, paperwork processing, and specimen processing

Customer service skills
