Schedule: Monday - Friday. On-site. Travel:

The Data Engineer will provide end to end data engineering solutions to support the business. The Data Engineer will build and manage ETL pipelines to ingest data into the data lake as well as push data into analytical platforms for use by the business.

Desired Skills:• Experience in big data engineering, ETL, Data Modeling and Data Architecture• Experience writing SQL• Experience with AWS Glue, AWS Lambda, and AWS Step Functions• Proficiency in Python and javascript• Experience with data lakes and building data pipelines• Strong communication skills between all levels of users• Experience with Agile Project Management• Work independently by prioritizing and managing time What You Will Do: Job Summary:
  • Evaluate, implement and maintain assigned business systems and applications.

Responsibilities:• Manage ETL pipelines through optimization and tuning• Manage the data lake• Track data and ensure data quality• Manage a distributed system and ingest data from a variety of production systems into the datalake• Continuously learns on the job and pursues relevant certifications as required• Other duties as assigned
  • Assist in evaluating proposals for data collection through an understanding of the functional area's business and applications needs.
  • Assist in planning and implementing activities required for the collection and analysis of data related to departmental business needs, including the development of data collection systems.
  • Maintain specific departmental data collection systems (eg , databases and spreadsheets) by troubleshooting problems, providing user support and education and promoting integration with other systems.
  • Develop and run basic queries and other data collection spreadsheets to support assigned business areas and organizes them in a format for ease of review and use.
  • Distill business processes to key functions and create and document processes to identify opportunities to automate and/or improve an existing process.
  • Assist in conducting complicated and detailed analyses of data relative to the applicable business function.
What You Will Need: Education:
  • High school diploma/GED with 2 years of experience, or Associate's degree, or Bachelor's degree required.
Additional Preferences: Bachelor's Degree or technical school completion in the field of computerscience and/or 1-year equivalent work experience.
