Design EngineerLocation: Nashville, TN (u p to 50% travel is required for site visits) 3 days onsite/ week Job DescriptionAs a Design Engineer, you will be responsible for creating innovative solutions and designing material handling equipment such as conveyor belts and other machinery tailored to specific facility requirements. Your role will include adding capacity, retrofitting areas for new equipment, rearranging existing equipment, and determining the layouts of the site. Additionally, you will draft RFPs, collaborate with vendors for site selection, and manage the engineering design process up to the handoff for execution.Qualifications:
Mechanical Design of warehouse/plant layout/material handling preferred
Experience working with vendors (creating RFPs/RDQs)
Bachelors degree in engineering (mechanical, industrial, electrical, manufacturing
5-7 years of experience in manufacturing/industrial designs required.
AutoCAD, SolidWorks experience required.
