We are looking for a dedicated Senior Director Regulatory and Accreditation like you to be a part of our team.Job Summary and QualificationsThe primary purpose of the Regulatory and Accreditation Services Department is to promote safe, high quality and effective patient care through maintaining accreditation, certification and licensure compliance of all facilities. HCA Healthcare clinical strategies and regulatory compliance are foundational to the work of the department.The Senior Director, Regulatory and Accreditation Services is responsible for assisting in the management, direction, reporting, and measurement of the HCA Healthcare Continual Survey Readiness Evaluation (CSRE) for the operational support, consultation, and guidance to all HCA Healthcare hospitals and ambulatory surgery centers. The HCA Healthcare CSRE serves as the internal clinical audit function for HCA Healthcare and thus is the entity responsible to the executive management and board for identification and reporting of facility operational performance. The Senior Director, Regulatory and Accreditation Services serves as a leader within the CSRE team and provides direction, oversight, and planning for the high-risk response team and follow-up strategies for facilities preparing for or responding to regulatory and accreditation activity. The senior director provides leadership with regard to the development and implementation of strategies and tools to provide consultation and education to HCA Healthcare facilities for clinical performance improvement and foundational standards of operational compliance including The Joint Commission (TJC)/Accreditation Association for Ambulatory Health Care (AAAHC), Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS), and other healthcare standard setting and enforcement entities. The senior director may also serve as a team lead or team surveyor on CSRE team that performs proactive regulatory and accreditation readiness assessments. In the environment of increasing pressure on regulatory standards and accrediting organizations, this position is critical to the HCA Healthcare mission and clinical strategies.This job may require 75% or more travel. This role will be based out of Nashville, TN.Major Responsibilities:Collaborates with direct reports to ensure accurate production of CSRE metrics for senior HCA Healthcare executives and board members based on the analysis of facility data and interpretation of cumulative data trends throughout the enterpriseTravels to provide onsite expert consultation and survey for HCA Healthcare CSRE to HCA Healthcare hospital and ambulatory surgery center (ASC) administrator/chief executive officers, chief nursing officers, and other hospital/ASC board of trustee and medical staff leaders regarding clinical performance improvement and foundational operational standards requiring facility complianceRole complements and provides guidance to division vice president, quality or director, quality and risk managementDaily prioritization and management of CSRE work flow, identifying and escalating critical patient safety and regulatory issues to senior department leadershipIdentifying CSRE work process improvements to resolve operational problems and collaborating with other team members to ensure implementation of identified improvementsProvides oversight with regard to CSRE data produced by department; collaborate with involved team members to ensure most accurate and efficient means are utilized in production of data setsMaintaining Regulatory and Accreditation Services staff effectiveness.Education & Experience:Master's degree requiredDoctoral degree (Ph.D., DNP, Pharm.D, MD, etc.) preferred3+ year(s) of experience in a leadership role preferred5+ years of management experience requiredOr equivalent combination of education and/or experienceLicenses, Certifications, & Training:Registered nurse, registered pharmacist, or other, equivalent experience with five years’ experience of oversight of clinical strategies, accreditation, certification, and/or licensure for hospitals and/or ambulatory care centerKnowledge, Skills, Abilities, Behaviors:Demanding, extended periods of standing, walking, and focused concentration.
