Position Summary

We are currently seeking to add a professional lead line cook to our growing team. Strong candidates must be ready to work in a high pressure, fast paced environment, while retaining high standards of organization, cleanliness and efficiency in order to meet the standards of the restaurant and ensure customer satisfaction.

Responsibilities

Responsible for preparation of hot & cold restaurant foods, meeting specifications and guaranteeing appropriate attention to detail is demonstrated with plate presentation.

Assist and execute event prep, organization and execution. Display strong acumen in all phases of events from prep to conclusion

Check and determine staffing needs on a daily basis and cut & add labor as needed through management

Show a strong proficiency with basic line skills including: grilling, deep frying, roasting, searing and knife skills.

Demonstrate a willingness to work holidays, weekends and extended work weeks based on needs of business.

Able to work in any position on the line and display a willingness to do so.

Display ability to take detailed instruction and tasks from sous chefs and chef.

Able to read and execute core recipes.

Responsible for keeping line and prep teams on task at all times. Able to recognize slow periods of business and can properly manager labor cost.

Assist Chef in daily tasks such as ordering product, organizing storage areas, assigning cleaning projects

Properly label and date all products to ensure safekeeping and sanitation, read and expedite computer tickets for service, produce production list to ensure efficient execution of service.

Work as a team and effectively communicate with sous chefs, chef & executive chef and FOH management in order to fulfill and address any issues or needs that impact service or guest experience.

Follows company policies and procedures.

Minimum Qualifications

Ability to communicate clearly and effectively.

Demonstrate a willingness to work holidays and weekends and extended work weeks based on needs of business

Ability to reach, bend, stoop, and lift, up to 40 pounds on a regular basis.

Ability to work in a standing position for long periods of time.

Exceptional hygiene and grooming habits.

Acquire and maintain a serv-safe permit within 14 days of on-boarding.

Must be able to work nights, weekends and some holidays.

Ability to speak, read and understand basic cooking directions

The salary range for this role is:

$18.34 - $28.09

This is the lowest to highest salary we in good faith believe we would pay for this role at the time of this posting. We may ultimately pay more or less than the posted range, and the range may be modified in the future. An employee’s pay position within the salary range will be based on several factors including, but limited to, the prevailing minimum wage for the location, relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, geographic location, performance, shift, travel requirements, sales or revenue-based metrics, any collective bargaining agreements, and business or organizational needs.
