About Real Joy Vacations

Real Joy Vacations is a property management company based in Destin, Florida. We manage about 475 properties (homes, condos & townhomes) as short-term, vacation rentals along the Emerald Coast from Okaloosa Island, Florida (Ft Walton Beach) all the way down to Panama City Beach, Florida. We have offices and warehouses in both Destin and Panama City Beach and our headquarters is in Destin, Florida.

About the Marketing Dept and the Creative Assistant position:

Our department proofs the advertising for all short-term rentals, creates the ads that feed to different channel managers, such as VRBO, AirBNB, booking.com, our website and a few other sites. We also manage the social media and maintain data storage for all photos. We respond to reviews from guests in addition to managing the rates for the company. This position can be remote, so location is not an issue, though a location in the Southeast and the Nashville area, in particular, is preferred. We have the Microsoft 365 Suite including Outlook and Skype, and provide this to our contractors/employees. We do a lot of training through zoom and skype sessions. We are committed to making the department function as a team (we are currently a team of 7), so will provide as much training as needed. This position is a contract position, so you will need to provide your own computer and editing software.

This is an hourly position at present, please attach your hourly rate requirements with your resume.

General Skill set Required:

Proficiency in Photo Editing is a must - Photoshop experience is preferred

Good organizational skills are required

Ability to organize the photos to our specs to showcase our properties - requires a good creative eye and the ability to follow the guidelines created.

Summary of Duties:

Be capable of choosing which photos best showcase each property & which photos need edits. We commonly need to saturate view shots from interiors and exteriors.

Be capable of discerning which photos need to be removed when replacing photos with new sets. For instance if an older photo has a much better angle of the room, is well edited and there are no major changes/upgrades to the room, be sure to keep the older photo in the mix.

Be diligent in working with the Marketing Director to make sure photos meet our expectations.

Upload all photos to the correct folders/directories on the company data storage server.

Be capable of organizing the photos according to the photo organization procedure as well as possible.

Upload, caption and replace photos within our company software plus upload & tag the photos on booking.com.

Check the photos for changes/upgrades and check the photos against the bed setup/baths to make sure our ad content is correct. If changes to verbiage need to be made, notify one of our administrators so that they can get the adjustments done.

Be capable of staying organized and documenting your work in the shared reconciliation that is set up.

Additional Duties:

This position might be called on to assist on Social Media platforms as needed.

This position also might need to assist with special projects as needed.
