Field Mechanic – Heavy Civil Construction Equipment

Earth Solutions, Inc. is a family-owned civil construction company specializing in excavation, grading, and underground utilities. We’re looking for a skilled Field Mechanic who takes pride in keeping heavy iron running strong. If you’ve got the hands-on expertise and drive to keep projects moving, we want you on our team.
What You’ll Do:
Keep our fleet of Caterpillar & Komatsu equipment operating at peak performance
Perform on-site service: oil & hydraulic changes, filter swaps, greasing, radiator maintenance
Diagnose and repair breakdowns in the field — quickly and safely
Use specialized tools (track press, heavy impacts, large sockets/wrenches) to tackle big jobs
Handle lockout/tagout procedures and ensure safe, efficient repairs
Work with the Shop Manager to schedule major repairs and minimize downtime
Share your knowledge and help coworkers care for equipment the right way
What We’re Looking For:
5+ years’ experience as a heavy equipment mechanic (field preferred)
Strong knowledge of diesel engines, hydraulics, and electrical systems
Experience with both on-road and off-road equipment
Ability to work independently in the field and manage priorities under pressure
Formal mechanical education/certifications are a plus
Must own a complete set of heavy mechanic hand tools (1" & ¾" impacts, sockets/wrenches up to 2")
Good organizational & communication skills — we’re a team-first company
Must be able to obtain a health card
