St. Thomas Swimming Association is seeking enthusiastic and dedicated swim instructors for our Learn to Swim program. This is an excellent opportunity for those who are passionate about teaching swimming and want to make a positive impact in the community.
Responsibilities:
- Instructing participants in swimming techniques and water safety
- Creating a fun, safe, and educational environment
- Monitoring and assessing students’ progress
- Ensuring the safety of all participants during lessons
Requirements:
- Previous experience in swim instruction or coaching is preferred
- CPR and First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain)
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Patience and a positive attitude towards teaching children and beginners
- Ability to work with a diverse group of students
Schedule:
- Part-time, flexible schedule
- Availability needed during the following hours:
Monday - Thursday: 1 PM - 5 PM
Saturday: 10 AM - 1 PM
- Compensation: Competitive hourly rate
