INSPYR Solutions is hiring a BI Analyst for our direct client in Houston, TX. This is a remote/direct-hire position (must be local to Texas). Qualified candidates should send their resume (Word format) to Erica Shackleton at The Senior Business Intelligence (BI) Analyst will work with leadership and affiliated provider and business partners to provide data-driven insights to support financial, clinical, and operational functions. S/he supports, develops, and maintains business intelligence (BI) tools, dashboards, and reports. S/he acts as a project lead or team member on multi-team projects and uses advanced skill set to develop, test, troubleshoot, and support BI and reporting-related projects and associated solutions/applications, and acts as mentor to others learning essential and advanced BI and/or reporting-related skills.Experience

  • 5 years' experience in a healthcare business intelligence (data and/or analytics) related role
  • Demonstrated initiative and problem-solving skills
  • Demonstrated ability to create and implement business metrics and reporting through both data and business analytics functions including data aggregation, data modeling, and data visualization
  • Previous experience and/or exposure to Epic Systems
  • History of resolving issues arising from operations and coordinating with other departments to develop solutions where necessary
  • Knowledge of and/or experience analyzing finance and medical economics, provider network management, care management, pharmacy, and clinical operations, quality informatics (HEDIS and Stars)
Special Skills
  • Strong T-SQL and SQL Server skills including SSRS
  • Advanced knowledge of BI, data visualization, and dashboard tools (Tableau, Power BI, Microstrategy)
  • Proven communication, presentation, analytical, and problem-solving skills
  • Strong business acumen and technical acumen
  • Ability to work independently or as a team
  • Maintains a safe environment, where everyone feels respected, empowered, and free to express their constructive thoughts and feelings

  • 30%- Work collaboratively with leadership and peers and affiliated provider and business partners to develop and maintain business intelligence (BI) tools, dashboards, and reports that provide decision support for financial, clinical, and operational functions.
  • 20%- Provide general and specialized business intelligence and/or reporting-related support. Research issues, contact vendors, and use specialized skills to aid in problem remediation.
  • 20%- Act as a project lead or team member on multi-team projects and use advanced skill set to develop, test, troubleshoot, and support BI and reporting-related projects and associated solutions/applications.
  • 20%- Monitor and maintain uptime and performance data for related applications and automated processes as required. Act as mentor to others learning essential and advanced BI and/or reporting-related skills.
  • 10% - Operate with dignity and respect.
Education: Bachelor's degree or equivalent experienceup to 20% travel may be involved
