OverviewGreat Hills Constructors, a member of The Walsh Group is currently seeking a Laborer - Pipelayer for the WWTT/183 North Mobility Project, in Austin, TX.The Laborer - Pipelayer will perform pipe-laying tasks involving physical labor (laying, joining, wrapping, sealing) on construction jobsites including commercial, industrial, or heavy civil projects; may operate hand and/or power tools as needed; may prepare site and assist with other duties as assigned.Walsh is a rapidly growing, highly diversified construction company, and we constantly seek builders and business people to join our industry-leading team. ResponsibilitiesResponsibilities include but are not limited to:

Lays, joins, aligns, wraps, and seals pipe sections, clay, concrete, and other type of pipe for water/gas main, sanitary sewer, telephone/electrical conduits

Ability to work with crew members and operate a variety of hand and power tools including drills, hammers, and other tools as directed by management

Ability to perform tasks including physical labor as instructed by supervisor

Qualifications

1 Years Verifiable Experience Preferred

Requires ability to climb and maintain balance on scaffold/ladder

Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs; may be required to work in adverse weather conditions

Requires the ability to comply with all safety policies and procedures; communicate effectively with co-workers and supervisors to ensure projects are completed properly

Possess a strong work ethic and desire to learn

Requires good manual dexterity; may be standing, bending, kneeling or sitting for long periods

Must be able to pass a pre-employment drug screening
