Description We are searching for a Tax Director/Manager to join our team in Austin, Texas. This role involves providing comprehensive tax planning and compliance services to real estate clients and high-net-worth individuals. You will be responsible for advising on tax strategies and structures, preparing and reviewing tax returns, assisting with tax audits, and staying updated on changes in tax laws.Responsibilities: Provide comprehensive tax planning and compliance services to real estate clients and high-net-worth individuals Advise clients on tax strategies and structures that optimize their financial outcomes Prepare and review federal, state, and local tax returns, ensuring compliance with current tax laws and regulations Assist with tax audits and coordinate with external auditors when necessary Collaborate with the brokerage team to provide tax insights on property acquisitions and dispositions Stay updated on changes in tax laws that may affect our clients and provide proactive advice accordingly Utilize various accounting software systems for efficient processing and management of tax-related tasks Ensure all accounting functions are performed accurately and in compliance with laws and regulations Prepare annual income tax provision and carry out auditing tasks Maintain accurate documentation for all tax-related processes and procedures. Requirements Minimum of 7 years of relevant experience in the field of taxation Proficiency in 3M and ATX Tax Software Demonstrable experience with Accounting Software Systems Proficiency in Adobe Acrobat and CCH Sales Tax Demonstrable skills in Accounting Functions and Annual Income Tax Provision Experience in Auditing and Compliance is necessary Strong abilities in Documentation process Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics or a related field is required CPA or a similar certification is highly preferred Excellent verbal and written communication skills Ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines simultaneously Strong analytical and problem-solving skills High attention to detail and accuracy Knowledge of federal, state, and local tax laws Experience in managing a team is highly preferred.
